Advice for someone starting, or continuing, on their D&I journey:

Just keep moving forward even if it seems like you aren’t going anywhere.  Baby steps will still move you in the right direction.  You also don’t need to be creative or innovative.  You just need to do the right thing.

Short Bio:

Kim leads the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging efforts for Independent Health and Family of Companies.  She works with amazing colleagues to raise awareness, education, and appreciation and to implement our Diversity & Inclusion strategy.

She is also responsible for talent and leadership development, in which she has extensive experience.   She has several certifications in personality and communication instruments and is certified in multiple 360 assessments.  She is currently working on her D&I certification.

Kim is passionate about advancing DEI work in her organization and in our community.  She was a recipient of the Business First IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Awareness) Award in 2020.

Kim actively looks for ways to partner with other organizations to advance our efforts.  She believes there shouldn’t be any competitors in this space, just collaborators.
